BoE's Bailey sees 'good deal' of space to accommodate inflation without need for rate rise
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 07:58 AM EDTLONDON, April 30 (Reuters) - Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said on Thursday there was a good deal of space available to accommodate inflation pressures arising from the Iran war without the need to raise interest rates.
"I can't give you a cast iron assurance that, therefore, there will be no increase in any scenario or any of those scenarios," Bailey said. "What I can say to you is that there is a good, good deal of space available to accommodate that."
