01:10 PM EST, 12/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 1.1% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) up 1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was shedding 0.3%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF increased 0.7%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 0.8% to $89,349, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 2 basis points to 4.17%.

In corporate news, Janus Henderson (JHG) has agreed to be taken private by Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst Group Management in an all-cash deal worth roughly $7.4 billion, the companies said Monday. Janus shares gained 3.3%.
