Q3 US Employment Cost Index Rises Less Than Expected

This was below the consensus estimate of a 0.9% gain in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.
Benefits costs rose by 0.8% in the third quarter after a 0.7% gain in previous quarter, while wage growth slowed to 0.8% from 1.0% in Q2.
