Amazon.com Raises $9.99 Billion in Canadian Bond Sale

06:40 AM EDT, 06/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com (AMZN) said Monday that it has completed the issuance of approximately 13.97 billion Canadian dollars ($9.99 billion) in aggregate notes across multiple maturities as part of a registered debt offering.

According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the company sold a series of Canadian-dollar-denominated notes maturing between 2029 and 2056, including 3.40% 2029 notes and 5.00% 2056 notes.

Net proceeds from the offering are estimated at 13.93 billion Canadian dollars after underwriting discounts, it said.

The company said proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
