Power Acceleration cemented as a critical infrastructure category as GridCARE unlocks over a gigawatt of latent grid capacity with its physics-based AI platform

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- GridCARE, the pioneer of Power Acceleration for AI, today announced that it has been selected as a 2026 World Economic Forum (WEF) Technology Pioneer. The designation recognizes GridCARE and CEO Amit Narayan as leaders in AI and energy infrastructure at a time when accelerating power for AI infrastructure is one of the most consequential imperatives for the global economy.

Notably, this marks Narayan's second recognition as a WEF Technology Pioneer, a distinction shared by only a handful of founders across the program's 26-year history ? underscoring his track record of building companies at the frontier of globally consequential problems.

?Power has become the single biggest constraint on the AI boom ? not chips, not capital. Conventional timelines simply can't keep pace with the speed at which hyperscalers and data centers need to build,? said GridCARE CEO Amit Narayan. ?This recognition from the World Economic Forum affirms that accelerating power delivery for AI infrastructure is now a boardroom and national security priority.?

GridCARE's platform uses physics-based AI to identify and activate near-term capacity on today's grid by evaluating quadrillions of grid conditions in real time to model congestion, outages, weather, and demand variability simultaneously. The platform compresses energization timelines for data centers from years to months and allows gigawatts of new power to be brought online at the speed the AI economy demands.

This work led to GridCARE?s inclusion on an esteemed WEF Technology Pioneer alumni list that includes companies like Google and Palantir that have defined and led new global categories. Being selected at this stage in its growth signals that GridCARE is solving an urgent problem in a way that is globally relevant and replicable.

GridCARE is honored to be chosen by one of the oldest and most selective technology recognition programs in the world. Following a recently announced $64 million Series A fundraise, it is proud to be defining and leading a new infrastructure category with technology that unlocks underutilized capacity to relieve AI bottlenecks. Narayan will carry this momentum into the WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China, on June 27-29, and continue to participate in Tech Pioneer community events over the next two years.

About GridCARE

GridCARE is the pioneer of Power Acceleration, a new system for delivering power in the AI economy. Founded at Stanford's Doerr School of Sustainability, GridCARE's Energize? platform uses physics-based AI to identify and activate near-term capacity on today's grid, enabling AI factories, utilities, and energy providers to unlock underutilized capacity and accelerate the delivery of large-scale AI infrastructure. To date, GridCARE has unlocked more than $25 billion in economic value for data center developers by bringing over a gigawatt online years ahead of schedule. Learn more here: gridcare.ai

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
