May 29 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Anna Paulson said Friday "mildly restrictive" monetary policy is "well positioned" for an uncertain outlook where inflation pressures remain too high.
Fed rate policy is ready "to react if the risks become manifest" and "I think it is healthy that market participants have taken on board scenarios where the funds rate remains unchanged for an extended period, as well as scenarios where further tightening becomes necessary," the official said in an appearance in New Jersey.
