Greek unemployment drops to 9.5% in April
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 05:09 AM EDTMay 29 (Reuters) - Greece's jobless rate stood at 9.5% in April, down from an upwardly revised 10.4% in March, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Friday.
Seasonally adjusted data showed 452,305 people were officially unemployed.
Unemployment impacted women more than men, at the rates of 13.7% and 5.9%, respectively.
The jobless rate for young people aged 15 to 24 years dropped to 18.4% in April from 19.1% in the same month in 2025 , ELSTAT said. (Reporting by Athina Karolidou and Antonis Pothitos in Gdansk)
