Energy inflation has been more persistent than expected, Fed's Goolsbee tells CNBC
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 10:14 PM EDTMay 27 (Reuters) - Chicago Federal Reserve President Austan Goolsbee told CNBC on Thursday that energy inflation tied to the war in Iran has lasted longer than expected.
Goolsbee also sounded a warning for Asian economies in the interview, saying that, because they are energy importers, "it's more just a stagflationary shock of the old-fashioned variety."
