03:52 PM EDT, 05/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in late Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 1% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) ahead 1.3%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index increased 0.9%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was up 1%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 2% to $76,840, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was little changed at 4.60%.

In corporate news, American Homes 4 Rent (AMH) shares climbed 3.6% after Raymond James upgraded the stock to outperform from market perform with a price target of $35 per share.
