Brazil's IBC-Br economic activity down 0.7% in March
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 08:06 AM EDTBRASILIA, May 18 (Reuters) - Economic activity in Brazil fell by a seasonally adjusted 0.7% in March from the previous month, according to a central bank index on Monday, a steeper drop than the 0.2% contraction expected by economists polled by Reuters.
The IBC-Br index, a proxy for gross domestic product (GDP), expanded by 1.3% in the first quarter. (Reporting by Marcela Ayres)
