UK economy grew by better-than-expected 0.5% in three months to February
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 02:05 AM EDTLONDON, April 16 (Reuters) - Britain's economy grew by a better-than-expected 0.5% in the three months to February, official figures showed on Thursday.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast 0.2% growth in gross domestic product for the December-February period compared with the previous three months.
In February alone, the economy grew by 0.5%, the Office for National Statistics said, against expectations for a 0.1% increase. (Reporting by Andy Bruce and Suban Abdulla; Editing by William James and Muvija M)
