Sector Update: Financial

01:32 PM EDT, 04/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks advanced in Wednesday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index rising 1.2% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) gaining 0.6%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index climbed 1.3%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) rose 0.5%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) increased 0.8% to $68,708, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries eased 1 basis point to 4.30%.

In corporate news, SpaceX is working with at least 21 banks on its planned initial public offering that may value the rocket company at around $1.75 trillion, Reuters reported late Tuesday. Morgan Stanley (MS) , Goldman Sachs (GS) , JPMorgan Chase (JPM) , Bank of America (BAC) and Citigroup (C/PN) (C) are serving as active bookrunners for the IPO, which is expected in June, the report said. Separately, SpaceX filed confidentially for the IPO with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
