Exchange-Traded Funds Rise as US Equities Advance After Midday

Broad-market exchange-traded funds IWM and IVV were higher. Actively traded Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) was up 1%.
US equity indexes rose in midday trading on Monday while Treasury yields declined after better-than-expected economic data.
Energy
IShares US Energy ETF (IYE) and the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) each rose about 0.3%.
Technology
The State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) added 1.8%; iShares US Technology ETF (IYW) and iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) were also higher.
The State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) gained 2.5%, and iShares Semiconductor (SOXX) was up 2.6%.
Financial
The State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) rose 0.8%. Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) climbed 2.5%, and its bearish counterpart, Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ), declined 2.3%.
Commodities
Crude oil rose 2.7%, and the United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 2%. Natural gas slipped 2.9%, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) dropped 3.4%.
Gold on Comex shed 1.5%, and the State Street SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) fell 0.6%. Silver was down 1.7%, and iShares Silver Trust (SLV) gained 0.1%.
Consumer
The State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP) rose 0.2%. The Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC) and iShares Dow Jones US Consumer Goods (IYK) also edged higher.
The State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY) climbed 1.1%. VanEck Retail ETF (RTH) rose 0.2%, and the State Street SPDR S&P Retail (XRT) was up 0.4%.
Health Care
The State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV) rose 0.6%, and iShares US Healthcare (IYH) and Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT) also advanced. IShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) added 0.9%.
Industrial
The State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI) gained 0.6%. Vanguard Industrials Index Fund (VIS) and iShares US Industrials (IYJ) were higher as well.
Cryptocurrency
