03:41 PM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were mixed in late Friday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index down 0.1% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) adding 0.2%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was rising 0.6%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was advancing 0.3%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 0.9% to $71,159, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 1.2 basis points to nearly 4.29%.

In corporate news, PayPay (PAYP) , a SoftBank-backed company, is open to a dual listing with presence on Tokyo's bourse, its CEO Ichiro Nakayama, was cited as saying in multiple media reports. "While we do not rule out the possibility of a dual listing in the future, there are no specific plans or decisions at this time," a PayPay (PAYP) spokesperson told MT Newswires in an e-mailed comment Friday. The comment follows the digital payments company's $880 million trading debut in New York on Thursday, after it priced its IPO of 55 million American depositary shares at $16 each. PayPay (PAYP) shares jumped past 17% in recent trading.

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
