National Bank Notes Canada 10-Year Sovreign Bonds Underperform U.S. Treasuries
BY MT Newswires | TREASURY | 08:05 AM EDT08:05 AM EDT, 03/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Government of Canada (GoC) 10-year bonds have given up about 8 bps of performance to their United States Treasury counterpart since late February, as the spread now trades about its 20- and 50-day moving averages, said National Bank of Canada.
At around 73 bps inverted, GoC-UST 10s have found resistance near this level, most recently in December / January, where 72bps-70bps proved "particularly sticky," noted the bank.
