01:16 PM EST, 02/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Thursday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.2% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) ahead 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was shedding 0.3%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was adding 0.2%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1.8% to $66,767, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was decreasing 2.5 basis points to 4.02%.

In corporate news, Janus Henderson (JHG) was sent an offer to be acquired by Victory Capital for $57.04 per share, the latter said Thursday. Janus shares jumped past 5%.
