Daily Roundup of Key US Economic Data for Feb. 26

12:51 PM EST, 02/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Federal Reserve's manufacturing index rose to 5 in February from 0 in the previous two months.

The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on March 2.

Initial jobless claims increased by 4,000 to 212,000 in the week ended Feb. 21, lifting the four-week moving average by 750 to 220,250.

Insured claims fell by 31,000 to 1.833 million in the employment survey week ended Feb. 14. Insured claims were at a level of 1.819 million in the employment survey week ended Jan. 17.

Natural gas stocks fell by 52 billion cubic feet to 2.018 trillion cubic feet in the week ended Feb. 20, up 7.5% from a year earlier but 0.3% lower than the seasonal average for the current week over the previous five years.
