February Kansas City Fed Manufacturing Index Posts Larger-Than-Expected Rise

11:10 AM EST, 02/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index rose to a reading of 5 in February from 0 in January, higher than expectations for an increase to 2 in a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

The increase follows expansion in readings for the other regional manufacturing data released so far. The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on March 2.

Within the Kansas City data, there were index gains for production, shipments, new orders, inventories, while readings for prices received for finished goods and the number of employees declined.
