01:15 PM EST, 02/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks gained in Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 1.3% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) ahead 1.6%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was falling 3.1%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was shedding 0.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was climbing 7% to $68,526, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly higher at 4.04%.

In corporate news, Klarna (KLAR) shares jumped past 7% after the digital bank services provider said Wednesday its app now has more than 55 million monthly active users globally, with 9 million people using the app on a daily basis.
