First Solar Says Study Sees US Operations Supporting Over 39,000 Jobs by 2027

The study was conducted by the Kathleen Babineaux Blanco Public Policy Center at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette using the company's reported and forecast US spending, First Solar
The company said its activities supported 29,605 direct, indirect and induced jobs in 2025, generating roughly $3 billion in labor income and contributing an estimated $5.8 billion to US GDP.
By 2027, those figures are expected to rise to 39,320 jobs, $4 billion in labor income, and about $7.8 billion GDP contribution, the company said, citing the study.
