Deutsche Bank Says It's Bearish on Canadian Dollar as the Bank of Canada May Cut Rates
BY MT Newswires | ECONOMIC | 02/19/26 12:33 PM EST12:33 PM EST, 02/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Canada stands in stark contrast with Australia as its population actually shrank in Q3, after robust growth for years, said Deutsche Bank.
The Canadian government is prioritizing capital expenditure, but it's yet to show up as business surveys point to growth staying "soggy," noted the bank.
Canada also has about the "softest" export growth in the world, it added.
The inflation pulse is now softening, which could lead to another Bank of Canada cut, according to the bank.
Deutsche Bank pointed out it's bearish on the Canadian dollar.
