Brazil's economic activity up 2.5% in 2025

BRASILIA, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Brazil's economic activity expanded 2.5% ?in 2025, central ?bank data showed ?on Thursday, slowing from ?the previous ?year ?but once again outperforming forecasts ?made ?at the start of the ?year.

In December, ?the ?central bank's IBC-Br economic activity index fell ?a seasonally adjusted ?0.2% from the prior month, a smaller ?decline ?than the 0.5% ?drop expected ?by economists polled by Reuters.
