01:25 PM EST, 02/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index rising 0.7% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) adding 1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was fractionally higher, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was falling 1.2%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1.4% to $66,638, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was decreasing 3 basis points to 4.08%.

In corporate news, Global Payments (GPN) shares jumped 17% after it posted an increase in Q4 adjusted earnings per share and issued a 2026 EPS outlook above analysts' expectations.
