01:28 PM EST, 02/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Tuesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index increasing 0.5% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) adding 0.8%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was falling 1.8%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was up 0.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 2.1% to $67,416, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was steady at 4.06%.

In corporate news, Fiserv (FISV) shares jumped nearly 6% after The Wall Street Journal reported that activist investor Jana Partners has amassed a stake in the payments company and is seeking changes to help boost its underperforming stock.
