Greek unemployment rises to 7.5% in December

Jan 29 (Reuters) - Greece's jobless rate stood at 7.5% in December, ?down from an ?downwardly revised 8.1% in ?November, data from ?statistics ?service ELSTAT showed ?on Thursday.

Seasonally ?adjusted data showed 354,904 people ?were officially ?unemployed.

Unemployment ?impacted women more than men, at the ?rates of 9.9% and 5.5%, respectively.

The jobless rate for young ?people ?aged 15 to 24 ?years dropped to 13.0% in December from 22.3% in the same month in 2024, ?ELSTAT said. (Reporting by Athina Karolidou and Tristan ?Veyet in Gdansk)
