03:35 PM EST, 01/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were mixed in Tuesday late afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index rising 0.2% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) shedding 0.7%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index fell 1%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) added 0.2%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) increased 0.8% to $88,983, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 1 basis point to 4.22%.

In corporate news, BlackRock (BLK) is shedding 10 people from its private financing solutions group following the $12 billion acquisition of HPS Investment Partners, Bloomberg reported. Executive directors Michael Weissenburger and Joshua Friedman departed, and Christian Donohue, a managing director, is in the process of leaving, the report said. BlackRock (BLK) shares were down 1.5%.
