US Q3 Current Account Deficit Narrows More Than Expected

08:46 AM EST, 01/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Q3 current account deficit narrowed to $226.40 billion from a revised $249.22 billion in the previous quarter, compared with expectations of a $238.0 billion deficit from a survey compiled by Bloomberg.

The narrower current account deficit reflected a smaller goods and services gap, a return to a surplus for primary income and smaller secondary income gap.
