01:40 PM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Tuesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.3% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) adding 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was increasing 0.3%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) added 0.3%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 2.1% to $91,909, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 1 basis point to 4.18%.

In corporate news, TPG (TPG) will make a $500 million minority investment in Jackson Financial (JXN) as part of a long-term strategic partnership that includes an investment management arrangement, the companies said Tuesday. TPG shares rose 3.1%, and Jackson climbed 4.7%.
