12:08 PM EST, 12/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European stock markets closed higher on Tuesday with the Stoxx Europe 600 up 0.7%, Germany's DAX gaining 0.6%, the FTSE 100 advancing 0.8%, France's CAC rising 0.7%, and the Swiss Market Index adding 0.2%.

In economic news, Spain's annual change in the consumer price index was 2.9% in December, down from 3% last month, according to the country's statistics office INE.

In corporate news, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium had suspended oil exports on Monday from the Black Sea's terminal due to adverse weather conditions, Reuters reported Tuesday.

The CPC project, which delivers oil from Kazakhstan, has also stopped oil intake because reservoirs are full and operations will remain limited until weather conditions improve, the report said.

Kazakhstan's major oil fields operated by Eni, Shell and other companies ship crude via the CPC terminal.

Eni shares rose 1% in Milan, and Shell was up 0.9% in London.

Separately, Belgium-headquartered MDxHealth filed a shelf registration to sell up to $200 million in shares, including a $50 million at-the-market program and a secondary resale of 1.87 million shares held by a selling stockholder.

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
