Brazil's jobless rate hits record low in quarter through November

SAO PAULO, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Brazil's jobless rate fell in ?the three months to ?November to its lowest ?level since the current ?series ?began in 2012, statistics agency ?IBGE said ?on Tuesday, despite high interest rates in ?Latin America's ?largest economy.

* The ?unemployment rate hit 5.2% in the period.

* That ?was down from 5.6% in the previous quarter and below the 5.4% expected by economists ?in ?a Reuters poll.

* Brazil's labor market has ?shown resilience this year, even with the benchmark

interest rate

at a near 20-year high of 15% as the ?central bank seeks to tame persistent inflation.
