03:24 PM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were lower late Tuesday afternoon, with the NYSE Financial Index shedding 0.6% and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) down 0.5%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was falling 1.3%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was down 0.7%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 1.2% to $87,477, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries fell 3 basis points to 4.15%.

In corporate news, Carlyle (CG) has lost more than $100 million on a loan it extended to now-bankrupt iRobot (IRBT), Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing estimates based on court filings and disclosures. Carlyle shares were down 0.4%.
