Sector Update: Financial Stocks Higher Friday Afternoon

12:52 PM EST, 11/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks rose in Friday afternoon trading with the NYSE Financial Index and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) each gaining 0.9%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index edged up 0.1%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) added 0.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) fell 0.5% to $90,899, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 2 basis points to 4.01%.

In corporate news, CME (CME) said that futures and options trading resumed after an hours-long disruption that affected contracts for equities, bonds, and commodities. CME shares rose 0.3%.

Jefferies Financial (JEF) relationship with failed car parts maker First Brands is under investigation by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Times reported. Jefferies shares were up 0.3%.

WTW (WTW) is in talks to buy NatWest's (NWG) 85% stake in its Cushon employee retirement platform business, Sky News reported. WTW shares were down 0.2%, and NatWest (NWG) rose 2.2%.
