03:34 PM EST, 11/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in late Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index adding 1.2% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) rising 1.1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1.7%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was up 0.9%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 3.1% to $90,049, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly lower at 4%.

In corporate news, Brookfield Asset Management (BAM) and Singapore's GIC Investments have made an unsolicited, non-binding, indicative proposal to buy National Storage REIT, the Australian self-storage operator said Wednesday in an announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange. Brookfield shares were up 1.9%.
