09:11 AM EST, 11/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US equity futures were down ahead of Tuesday's opening bell as traders turned their focus to Nvidia's (NVDA) upcoming earnings and key labor market data due for release later this week.

Meanwhile, Nvidia (NVDA) is slated to report quarterly earnings after Wednesday's closing bell.

Oil prices were lower, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude down 0.3% at $64.04 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude down 0.2% at $59.74 per barrel.

US Industrial Production data is scheduled for release at 9:15 am ET.

The National Association of Home Builders' November US Housing Market Index, due at 10 am ET, is seen coming in unchanged from the previous month at 37, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

In other world markets, Japan's Nikkei closed 3.2% lower, Hong Kong's Hang Seng ended 1.7% lower, and China's Shanghai Composite finished 0.8% lower. In equities, Medtronic (MDT) stock was up 3.5% after the company reported higher fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings and sales. Gorilla Technology (GRRR) shares were nearly 14% higher, a day after the company reported higher Q3 revenue.

On the losing side, Home Depot (HD) shares were 4% lower after the company reported lower fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings and cut its fiscal 2025 adjusted earnings guidance.

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
