03:29 PM EST, 11/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks rose in late Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index up 0.8% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was easing 0.2%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was shedding 0.3%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1.4% to $101,603, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries dropped 5.5 basis points to 4.07%.

In corporate news, Manulife Financial (MFC) and Mahindra & Mahindra said Wednesday they have agreed to establish a 50:50 life insurance joint venture in India. Manulife shares climbed 2.7%.
