01:34 PM EDT, 10/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were advancing in Tuesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index fractionally higher and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) adding 0.1%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1.7%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was easing 0.2%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 1.5% to $112,033, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was shedding 2.9 basis points to 3.96%.

In corporate news, Hologic (HOLX) said Tuesday it has agreed to be acquired by funds managed by Blackstone (BX) and TPG (TPG) in a deal worth up to $18.3 billion, or up to $79 per share. Blackstone shares rose 0.5%, and TPG added 1.3%.
