Bank of Israel says it is not planning to move next rates decision from Nov. 24
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 10/15/25 05:17 AM EDTJERUSALEM, Oct 15 (Reuters) - The Bank of Israel said on Wednesday it does not plan to bring forward its next interest rates decision from November 24, denying rumors that it may do so in the wake of the end to the Gaza war that has underpinned inflation and kept rates high.
Citing unnamed economic sources, Israeli media reported that the central bank is considering a rates reduction ahead of its next decision. On September 29, the monetary committee voted 6-0 in favour of holding the benchmark rate at 4.5%.
"In light of the rumors on the matter, we clarify that the upcoming interest rate decision is scheduled for November 24, 2025," the central bank said in a statement.
"Although the Bank of Israel reserves the right to make interest rate decisions outside the regular schedule, the issue of moving the decision forward is not under consideration."
