Brazil central bank still sees signs of economic resilience, says governor
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 09/29/25 10:21 AM EDTSept 29 (Reuters) - Brazil's central bank continues to see several signs of resilience in the country's economy, governor Gabriel Galipolo said on Monday.
Speaking at an event hosted by Itau BBA in Sao Paulo, Galipolo emphasized that the central bank remains data-dependent and is monitoring whether interest rates are at a sufficiently restrictive level to bring inflation back to target.
The bank earlier this month held interest rates steady at a near two-decade high of 15% for a second straight policy meeting, and signaled it would keep them unchanged for a long time. (Reporting by Marcela Ayres; Editing by Gabriel Araujo)
