01:44 PM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were lower in Tuesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index down 0.4% and the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) easing 0.3%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index was decreasing 0.6%, and the Real Estate Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLRE) was shedding 0.6%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was increasing 1.5% to $116,519, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was one basis point lower at 4.03%.

In corporate news, Apollo Global Management (APO) is exploring a sale of AOL after receiving inbound interest, The Wall Street Journal reported. A deal could value the internet brand at about $1.5 billion, the report said. Apollo shares rose 0.7%.
