July US Construction Spending Declines as Expected, Residential Building Up
BY MT Newswires | ECONOMIC | 09/02/25 10:10 AM EDT10:10 AM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US construction spending fell by 0.1% in July, as expected in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:35 am ET and following a 0.4% decrease in June.
Private residential construction rose by 0.1%, with single-family home construction up 0.1% and remodeling activity up 0.1% but multi-family construction down 0.4%.
Private nonresidential construction declined by 0.5%, while public construction increased by 0.3%.
