11:34 AM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- National Bank of Canada on Wednesday provided its scorecard for precious metal companies following the sconf-quarter reporting season.

Companies with previously outlined target price revisions of 10% or more include: SSR Mining (SSR.TO), OceanaGold (OCANF) EMX Royalty (EMX) and Newmont (NEM) .

The bank said the names best positioned after the earnings season include Endeavour Mining (EDVMF) and Kinross Gold (KGCRF) among senior producers.

For intermediates/juniors, the bank listed Alamos Gold (AGI) , Artemis Gold (ARGTF) , Discovery (DSV.TO), IAMGOLD (IAG) and Torex Gold (TXG.TO).

National Bank picked Endeavour Silver (EXK) among the silver companies.

"Across our coverage, EV/EBITDA multiples expanded +10% for seniors, +8% for intermediates, while the silver producers saw compression of -10% on the back of the strong positive revisions to 2025 estimates, National Bank said.

"We attribute the strong performance from the senior group to cost controls paired with delivering on share buybacks," the bank added.

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
