07:12 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- After all-time market zeniths set on Wednesday, Wall Street futures are pointing sideways pre-bell Thursday, as traders digest earnings reports and await emerging catalysts.

In the futures, the S&P 500, the Nasdaq and the Dow Jones indices all hewed close to overnight closes.

Investors also anticipate the July producer price index (PPI) bulletin, slated for release in Washington at 8:30 am ET. The consensus is for the PPI to be up 2.5% year on year.

Asian exchanges traded mostly lower overnight, while European bourses tracked moderately north midday on the continent.

On the earnings scene, Deere (DE) traded down 7% pre-bell after the heavy-equipment maker reported fiscal Q3 earnings and revenue slightly above Street views, but tempered guidance, in premarket hours.

On the economic calendar, in addition to the PPI report, is the weekly jobless claims bulletin at 8:30 am ET, followed by the weekly EIA natural gas report at 10:30 am.

Federal Reserve Richmond President Thomas Barkin speaks later Thursday.

In premarket action, Bitcoin traded at $121,513, West Texas Intermediate crude oil traded higher at $62.83, and 10-year US Treasuries offered 4.21%. Spot gold traded for $3,358 an ounce.

In general the bond market is volatile, and fixed income securities carry interest rate risk. (As interest rates rise, bond prices usually fall, and vice versa. This effect is usually more pronounced for longer-term securities.) Fixed income securities also carry inflation risk and credit and default risks for both issuers and counterparties. Unlike individual bonds, most bond funds do not have a maturity date, so avoiding losses caused by price volatility by holding them until maturity is not possible.

Lower-quality debt securities generally offer higher yields, but also involve greater risk of default or price changes due to potential changes in the credit quality of the issuer. Any fixed income security sold or redeemed prior to maturity may be subject to loss.
