BY MT Newswires | ECONOMIC | 06/26/25 11:11 AM EDT11:11 AM EDT, 06/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Kansas City Fed monthly manufacturing index rose to a reading of minus 2 in June from minus 3 in May, compared with expectations for a decrease to a minus 5 print in a survey compiled by Bloomberg as of 7:45 am ET.
The index still indicates contraction, which is in line with all the regional manufacturing sector readings released to this point, but in contrast with the S&P global Flash index that suggested expansion.
The ISM's national manufacturing reading will be released on July 1.
Within the Kansas City data, there were index gains for production, shipments, new orders and prices paid, but a decline in the employment reading.
