Brazil posts $5.9 billion current account deficit in October
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 11/25/24 06:36 AM ESTBRASILIA, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Brazil recorded a current account deficit of $5.9 billion in October, the central bank said on Monday, slightly below the $6 billion deficit anticipated in a Reuters poll of economists.
Foreign direct investment for the month reached $5.7 billion, above the $4.7 billion forecast in the poll, the central bank added. (Reporting by Marcela Ayres; Editing by Gabriel Araujo)
