Brazil less affected than other emerging markets by strong dollar, says cenbank chief
BY Reuters | ECONOMIC | 11/14/24 11:48 AM ESTSAO PAULO, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Brazil has been effected to a lesser extent than other emerging market economies by the appreciation of the U.S. dollar following President-elect Donald Trump's election victory, Brazil's central bank chief Roberto Campos Neto said on Thursday.
Campos Neto said the Brazilian real did not suffer as much as expected as a direct result of the elections, after earlier attributing its weakness to domestic fiscal concerns. (Reporting by Luana Maria Benedito; Editing by Sarah Morland)
